How to Become a Member of Epsilon Pi Tau

Membership into Epsilon Pi Tau is usually by invitation from one of our 124 chapters.  There are no applications available from the EPT International Office.

However, If you are interested in joining Epsilon Pi Tau, you must attend an initiation ceremony to be considered a member.  Please refer to the "Chapters" page of the website to verify if we currently have an active chapter at the closest institution to you.  When you have selected a chapter, please email us your contact information, resume, and name of the selected chapter, and we will then forward it on to the Trustee of that chapter who will contact you to determine if you meet their requirements to be initiated (usually a grade point of 3.25 or higher, or demonstration of professional leadership, etc.).  If you do meet the requirements, you will be invited to become initiated into Epsilon Pi Tau.

In order to become a member, one must attend an initiation ceremony held at a university which houses an Epsilon Pi Tau chapter, or at one of the educational conferences (held throughout the year) in which we are affiliated with.

If you do not reside within reasonable distance from a chapter, you may be able to be initiated (as a Member at large) at one of the conferences in which EPT holds initiation ceremonies:

ATMAE (Fall of each year)
ACTE  (December of each year)
ITEEA (Spring of each year)

*Please refer to the EPT calendar for exact dates.
